The countdown is on to the inaugural Cardiff Book Festival, which aims to promote reading and writing across the city in a three day book bonanza.
From 28 October to 30 October, the festival will take over the literary hub of the city centre - Central Library, Yr Hen Lyfrgell, Waterstones Bookstore and the Angel Hotel - for a variety of talks, debates and workshops.
Poetry to Poirot, short stories to sport, debuts to Dahl, fiction to feminism...there really is something for everyone.
The diverse programme features a whole host of big names including Deborah Moggach, Owen Sheers, Miranda Sawyer and Sophie Hannah.

Actress Kimberley Nixon is taking part in the Cardiff Book Festival, talking about Poirot with Sophie Hannah while Dan Tyte and Laura Powell will be discussing their debuts. Road to 2017 will bring together business leaders for an economy debate and Short Stories is an event with Dylan Thomas prize winner Rachel Trezise and Welsh Book of the Year winner Thomas Morris.

BBC journalist Brian Meechan is one of the organisers of the festival. He said: "From the start, we wanted to create a festival that had something for everyone and we think we've managed to achieve the right mix and to keep prices affordable. There's been so much enthusiasm from writers, publishers and others in the industry that it's clear that the Cardiff Book Festival can get off to a great start and have something very solid to build on in future years.
"We've been overwhelmed by the encouragement and support we've had throughout the city not least from our sponsors and partners.
"It's up to the public now to decide whether the book festival becomes an annual fixture in the calendar, so we certainly hope people will get behind it."

Tickets for all events are priced at £8 (£5 concessions) and workshops cost £60.
