Gareth John and Morgan Thomas are theatre makers and friends based in Cardiff.

We wanted our piece to reflect how both of our lives have changed since lockdown. How friendships may bring us through difficult times and give us hope for the future.

Though simple in form, a conversation between us both; we felt it important that the location used reflected our previous lives. So for the first time in three months we met on a bright, sunny day, outside of the boarded up Chapter Arts Centre.

We hoped for the piece to have an informal feel and thus was unscripted. It's inevitably difficult however to get away from the feeling of something "staged," so we chose to keep the off-camera chat that you hear at the start of the film.

We would like to thank the third artist working on this project, filmmaker Jonathan Dunn, who also worked with us via Zoom to pull the edit together. Also thanks to Ben Pettitt Wade and all at Hijinx. Finally of course to Creative Cardiff for giving us this great opportunity.

We hope you enjoy and that we all have our equivalent of "post lockdown burgers" soon!
