We are looking for a Welsh-speaking Production Assistant to join the team at COPA.

This is an exciting and diverse role suited to someone who is looking to progress their career within video content creation and TV production. 

Primary roles:

  • Working with our Creative Producer to organise and run projects - researching, scheduling, booking locations, booking crew and helping to complete the necessary paperwork.
  • Assisting our crews on location - setting up kit, meeting contributors and generally helping with the smooth running of the shoot.
  • Assisting our editors with Welsh language edits - logging, transcribing, translating and subtitling.

Secondary Activities:

  • Capturing and creating content for COPA’s social media channels - photos, videos, blog posts.
  • Helping with the preparation and resetting of camera kit before and after shoots.
  • Assisting our drone team on location.

You must:

  • Be fluent in written and spoken Welsh and English.
  • Have a full UK driving license.
  • Be able to evidence a passion for working within video content creation and TV production.

Aside from that, you will be able to develop specific skills as you work.

However it would be great if you:

  • Have experience in production paperwork.
  • Know a bit about camera and sound equipment.
  • Have experience in using editing, motion graphics or colour grading software.
  • Have experience in transcribing and translating efficiently and accurately.
  • Enjoy meeting and interacting with new people.
  • Live within approximately an hour of our office in Cardiff.
  • Have experience driving large cars and vans.
