Availability

18-20th October 2019

11am-late

Must be available to work at least two out of three shifts and to attend scheduled meetings leading up to the festival

 

 

Brief description of position

As a customer service volunteer at Sŵn Festival 2019, you will be a key part of the festival for artists, guests and venue staff. You will be assigned an area and schedule ahead of the festival based on your availability. You will be trained on box office scanners and essential information beforehand.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Preparing box office venue box
  • Running the box office along with the rep 
  • Scanning digital tickets and providing wristbands to customers
  • Providing clear information for FAQ’s when asked
  • Directing customers to venues
  • Dressing venues
  • Encouraging mailing list signups at box office
  • Selling merch 
  • Representing Sŵn in a professional and friendly manner as the first point of contact for most of the festival-goers

 

What we’re looking for

  • Some customer service experience
  • Keen interest in festivals and events
  • Good time keeping
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A basic knowledge of Cardiff (geographically)
