WHEN & WHERE?

  • Fortnightly evening sessions 6-9pm and 2 weekend workshops

  • Various locations in central Cardiff

  • 9 months beginning October 

  • Assessment Centres take place early October

WHAT IS THE COST?

  • It’s free! In some circumstances travel costs can be covered. 

 

HOW DO I APPLY?

  • Sign up at www.uprising.org.uk/apply.  You will need your name, email, mobile & date of birth. We will send you an application form and, if successful,  invite you to an assessment centre.

 

WHAT ARE THE SESSIONS LIKE?

  • Launch Weekend: The programme kicks-off with a weekend of workshops where you will get to know your peers. Workshops will help you explore your leadership style and values.

  • Knowledge Sessions provide an opportunity to learn from senior leaders through intimate group and panel discussions. Knowledge sessions include: Local Challenges, Community Mobilization, Media Matters, Ethical Business & Building a Sustainable Future.

  • Skill Sessions provide hands-on workshops to help you develop as a leader.   Skill sessions include: Personal Branding, Networking, Media Training, Leading Teams & Public Narrative.

  • Social Action Campaign Sessions guide you through a step-by-step process to plan and implement your own campaign on an issue you care about. You will also have the opportunity to present your campaign idea to a panel of experts at a Dragons’ Den event  in exchange for practical feedback and potential support. 

  • Site Visits: We take a trip to Parliament and may provide other site visits & opportunities.

 

WHAT IS ONE-TO-ONE COACHING & MENTORING?

  • Coaching: If you’re still figuring out what to do or how to get there, a coach can help guide you through this process. They can help you set personal goals and discover a realistic way of achieving them.

  • Mentoring: If you know what sector you want to get into but just need a leg-up,  we will connect you with a senior leader in your industry to show you the ropes & connect you with important people.
