NDCWales's picture

National Dance Company Wales creates extraordinary and inclusive dance which engages and resonates with audiences; we work with the best dancers and choreographers from across Wales and the world to make dance for stages large and small, in unusual spaces.

We all dance: for pleasure, for fun, on our own, in groups or maybe only when no one else is watching.

NDCWales capitalises on dance’s universal appeal as a form of expressing emotion. We perform across Wales, the UK and overseas taking people on journeys of discovery, creating opportunities to participate, discuss, watch and learn about dance, about themselves and about the world.

Our status as the National Dance Company is a privilege that informs everything we do: how we make work, who we work with and where work is placed. Our programmes will resonate with the diverse communities of Wales and working with others we will ignite the spark of interest in dance with the widest range of promoters in every corner of the nation, building audiences for dance

Since the company was founded in 1983 as ‘Diversions’ by Ann Sholem and Roy Campbell-Moore, the company has grown in size and stature, expanding its touring to include the whole world.
