Carys Lewis is a actor, writer, emerging director and producer. Since graduating from George Brown Theatre School in Toronto she has worked in both theatre and film and collaborated with a variety of arts organizations and festivals across Canada. She is currently developing a documentary with Trey Anthony called When Black Mothers Don’t Say I Love You. Carys is the founder of FEM Script Lab, a new writing lab for female screenwriters in Toronto, held monthly at The Theatre Centre. Carys was most recently part of The British Film Institutes Filmmaker Launchpad Program with her film Off Trac. She is currently developing a feature screenplay with support from BFI Network Wales.

Previous producing and arts programming credits include: The Luminato Festival, Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, Necessary Angel Theatre Co, Trey Anthony Productions and The Toronto Fringe Festival.
