I have been spinning for over 40 years and crocheting for longer. I also dye my wool and yarn, and use it for felting and needlefelting. Together with my husband we ran a craft micro-business for over twenty years, until his death in 2014. I used to demonstrate spinning and dyeing at the Weald & Downland Museum in Sussex, and ran courses there, which led to an interest in historically accurate clothing and textiles. I've also had a number of articles published in the spinning press, including 'Spinoff' magazine. I'm particularly interested in three-dimensional work, which is where needle felting comes into play.
Since moving to the Valleys I've run courses at Llancaiach Fawr and at Bella Rosa in Mountain Ash.
When I have any spare time I also knit and paint, and always enjoy a design challenge.
You'll have also gathered from the foregoing that I'm hopeless at writing this kind of thing which tends to come out stilted and over formal. I do other stuff as well which I'll probably remember later!
