During our first year we offered a programme of ’52 Things’ made with and for the city’s creative community to showcase the fantastic people and places in our city. You can find the full 52 here.

Creative Cardiff invites you to an evening in conversation with Dick Penny, the inspirational director of Bristol’s Watershed.

Over the past four years, Cardiff University has collaborated with Watershed and five universities on the REACT project (Research and Enterprise in Arts and Creative Technology), partnering arts and humanities academics with creative businesses to create exciting and innovative products and prototypes.

As one of four Knowledge Exchange Hubs for the Creative Economy funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) to develop strategic partnerships with creative businesses and cultural organisations, REACT has drawn deeply on Watershed’s experience at the heart of Bristol’s creative scene. At this session, Dick will talk to us about Bristol, about Cardiff and how we make our next, best steps.

Following the conversation, join us for a drinks reception where you’ll also be able to explore some of the REACT project’s creations, fresh from their appearance at The Rooms festival taking place in Bristol between the 5th and 7th November. The Rooms is a series of interactive installations that will play host to 53 inventions designed to change and brighten your world, and showcase the work of REACT.
