Risk Assessment on location Course

This interactive session is designed for those who organise events, gigs or shoots outside of a static theatre or studio. It explains what needs to be considered when writing a risk assessment and how to adapt the assessment when circumstances change. No prior knowledge required.

During the two and a half hours we shall discuss the theory of risk assessment and the legal responsibilities at the various levels of a production / event.

Practical examples and questions from participants will be encouraged subject to the time available.

By the end of the session you should be able to:
Define a hazard and the risk
Explain what makes up competence
Use a risk matrix
Identify how to control risk
Write a risk assessment
Clarify what reasonably practicable means
Describe what is a dynamic risk assessment
Outline what is risk perception
