We are looking for a senior, digital-first marketing and brand manager to lead the marketing and engagement campaigns for our annual international festival, Festival of Voice and other flagship areas of our artistic programme. Festival of Voice is Wales Millennium Centre’s international arts festival that takes places in Cardiff and celebrates the voice in all its forms. The festival began in 2016 and featured over 100 performances across the city, immersing Cardiff in the incredible talents of singers and performers from around the world. Artists such as John Cale, Van Morrison, Patti Smith, Gruff Rhys and Laura Marling all helped make Festival of Voice a resounding success and introduced us to new audiences. Our ambition is for the festival to become a yearly celebration from 2020.

Alongside Festival of Voice we also programme seasons of contemporary theatre which include our own in-house productions and cabaret which include comedy, music, burlesque and drag. These strands have a symmetry with the Festival of Voice audience which we want to develop and grown.

The successful candidate will join Wales Millennium Centre and Festival of Voice at an exciting stage in its development. Working closely with the Head of Brand and Digital and other stakeholders such as the Festival of Voice’s Executive Creative Producer and the Festival Manager, they will create a long-term marketing and brand strategy which grows the reach and reputation of the festival in the UK and internationally as well as develop and broaden audiences across other stands. This person will be an integral part of shaping the future of the festival and homegrown elements of our artistic programme.

The ideal candidate will have over five years’ experience delivering creative and successful marketing campaigns for cultural organisations and events at a senior level. Primarily engaged to lead on the marketing campaign and strategy for Festival of Voice 2020 this role will also have responsibility for implementing and overseeing campaigns which connect the Festival of Voice audience with similar strands in our artistic programme such as live Cabaret and our own contemporary theatre productions
