Marketing Assistant


Marketing and Advertising

Key responsibilities and accountabilities: 1. Plan and carry out direct marketing activities (principally direct mail & e shots).2. Develop ideas and create offers for social media, via hootesuite.3. Managing the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters and e-newsletters and mini movie clips to promote via social media channels such as You Tube & Instagram;4. Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by post, telephone, and personal visits. 5. Identify, qualify and secure business opportunities by cultivating and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships with current and potential clients.6. Contribute and liaise with the Business Development Manager to help develop marketing plans and strategies.7. Monitor and report on activities on social media. 8. Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys. 9. Visit exhibitions for inspiration and future ideas10. Investigate and report on equipment and software suitability for direct marketing and sales reporting purposes. 11. Assist with the external marketing activities of telemarketing and research. 12. Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills. 13. Manage our company website content Management system at The National Education Show14. Compile Database of new clients, including uploading new data on to our management system15. Manage the company mail chimp account16. Liaise with the Business Development Manager to assist with the development of a 12-month marketing plan, leading up to our annual show17. Regularly attend Networking events within local business clubs18. Manage linked in and twitter accounts19. Help organise 2 business exhibitions per year.20. Answer the phone, and communicate with potential and existing exhibitors.
