At the NSPCC, we’re leading the fight against child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. We are committed to preventing child abuse and neglect and helping to recover. Influencing legislation and policies affecting children is a key element to help us achieve our mission to end cruelty to children.

We are recruiting to the post of Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer to be part of the Wales Policy and Public Affairs Team. The team develops the public policies of the NSPCC in Wales as well as campaigning for policy and legislative change.

The Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer will influence government policy and legislation through developing and promoting agreed NSPCC policy positions and deliver public affairs activities aimed at Welsh Government (and when relevant UK Government) and political audiences.

The successful candidate will have experience of policy development and of successful lobbying and influencing work including influencing political stakeholders and a good knowledge of the workings of the National Assembly for Wales and Welsh Government. Written and oral fluency in Welsh is desirable.
