Artis Community/Cymuned – Board of Trustees

Artis Community/Cymuned , based in Pontypridd, provide high quality art experiences that are driven by social outcomes.  We believe in the transformational power of creativity to make a real difference to people’s quality of life and have provided high quality, professional art experiences to communities across the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taff and Merthyr Tydfil since 1987, creating opportunities for those people most challenged by their circumstances.

We are seeking individuals with a passion for the arts in Wales to join our Board of Trustees.  This is an opportunity to work with a community arts organisation, contributing to its strategic direction and supporting its aims and objectives to deliver high level art experiences in order to make a social impact in areas of deprivation.

We are looking to recruit up to three new Trustees and are particularly seeking those with an arts background to join our Board.  In addition, we would welcome individuals with a range of knowledge and skills including:

  • Fundraising and Bid Writing Experience
  • Capital build knowledge
  • Finance/ Audit and Assurance
  • IT Systems/ Data Management

If you would like to express an interest or have an informal and confidential chat, please contact Jonathan Huish by emailing
