An editor, arts journalist, arts consultant and administrator, Emma Geliot has been working in the arts in Wales for over 30 years.

She trained as a fine artist at Cardiff School of Art & Design, graduating in 1985. She went in to run Cardiff Visual Arts Festival (winner of the Best Single Event in the UK Absa award) and went on to run a sculpture park, a Wales-wide public art commission programme for Sustrans, an pan-Wales artists in residence programme and was senior visual arts officer for the Arts Council of Wales for seven years.

She retrained as a journalist at JOMEC (2009-2010) and was deputy editor for blown magazine until the magazine folded in 2012. In 2013 she set up Culture Colony Quarterly (CCQ) - an international-facing arts magazine, which is based in Chapter's Market House in Cardiff.

Emma writes for a wide number of arts organisations, publications and platforms, and is a National Advisor for the Arts Council of Wales.
