Areas of expertise:

I am a mezzo-soprano, graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama under the guidance of Anne Mason, Michael Pollock and Lorna Anderson. Starting the year 2014 Cristina I have been an alto scholar in the BBC National Chorus of Wale, with which I had the privilege to tour and sing at the BBC Proms. I was also one of the 20 singers selected to sing in the 'BBC Dr Who Symphonic Spectacular'.
I have a strong interest in both opera and oratorio. My oratorio repertoire includes the alto soloist in Handel’s ‘Messiah’, Pergolesi’s ‘Stabat Mater’, Vivaldi’s ‘Stabat Mater’ and Mendelssohn's 'Elijah’.
In July 2017, I made my opera debut as Jenny Hildebrand in the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama production of Kurt Weill’s ‘Street Scene’. I have also sung roles in opera scenes, such as Hermia in Britten's 'Midsummer night's dream', Dorabella in Mozart's 'Cosi fan tutte' and the baker's wife in Sondheim's 'Into the woods'.
After graduating with a distinction in my Master's of Music degree, I have joined Cardiff and Vale College as a career coach and I am constantly trying to develop a successful portfolio career.
