A senior broadcast engineer with experience working for major broadcasters in drama, news and live events.

Currently working at BBC Wales as a support engineer. BBC Wales post production is able to support multiple productions at resolutions up to 4K. Current projects include Dr Who, Casualty and the Welsh language soap Pobol y Cwm.

Previously worked at BBC Studioworks on the BBC’s continuing drama series “EastEnders”. The production uses three HD galleries serving six studio floors and the iconic Albert Square back lot. As a supervisory studio engineer I was responsible for ensuring that these facilities met the needs of the production and that technical faults were cleared, or alternative ways of meeting production requirements identified and implemented with the minimum loss of time.

In addition to studio engineering, I also have specific responsibility for maintaining and updating the post production areas for both “EastEnders” and “Holby City”. To support the two programmes we provide 12 Media Composer edit suites, a grading suite, 3 ProTools dubbing theatres and almost 750TB of networked, RAID protected media storage.

I have also worked on Outside Broadcasts covering Premiere League football, Music, Theatre and current affairs.
