Seamstress at RYN alterations

About

I'm currently working as a bridal alterations seamstress, and I run my own business called RYN Alterations. My base is at a bridal studio in Cardiff, where I collaborate with the E&W Couture bridal team.

I've also had experience freelancing with a streetwear brand previously, crafting unique pieces like tapestry fabric hoodies and sweatpants.

During the first lockdown, I got involved in the 'For the Love of Scrubs' campaign, making scrubs for healthcare workers. It was a way for me to contribute by using my sewing skills.

My skills cover everything from designing to sewing, and I'm pretty handy with Adobe software too. What's important to me is not just making things look good, but also understanding the ethics behind clothing and embracing the slow fashion movement.

"From my bespoke waistcoat client Jamie"
Again Kate, thank you very much for all of your and Claire's hard work in making this very special item for me. As Annie will, her dress, I will cherish my waistcoat. It was great fun meeting with you to pick out what I wanted and you just worked magic and brought it all to life. I am really impressed as were my wedding guests. It certainly had people crowding behind me to have a look and take photos.
