In this episode we discuss the roles of LGBTQ+ influencers within a creative Wales.

Aisha May and Iestyn on Zoom

Iestyn Wyn presents the Esgusodwch Fi? podcast on BBC Sounds with Meilir Rhys Williams and works as a Campaigns, policy and research manager for Stonewall Cymru.

Aisha-May is an actress, musical theatre performer and presenter. Aisha presented Ymbarél on S4C, the first LGBTQ+ programme for young people within the UK. Aisha currently presents the Legally Lesbians podcast.

Aisha-May shares her reasons for starting the Legally Lesbians podcast:

We started it to chat with the world, and tell people that that’s how we came out. It was really hard for Amy (Aisha-May's cohost on Legally Lesbians), it was easier for me. Just to say that there are different ways to feel about yourselves and no one way is better than the other.

Also, Iestyn Wyn talks about the Esgusodwch Fi? podcast: “When you have a podcast with different guests every week, you’re not only giving LGBTQ+ people a platform and putting their voices out there, but you get their stories that also appeal to people that maybe aren’t in the same community, and don’t share the same experiences.”
