About

Studio Response brings people together to produce site-responsive art in the public realm. We broker effective partnerships between local communities, clients, artists, designers, architects and makers to place site-specific artistic practice at the heart of our public spaces.

We believe that artists can enrich the quality of our public spaces and we work with artists to respond creatively to the people, place, culture, heritage and aspirations of neighbourhoods, towns and cities across the UK, and internationally. We invite artists, designers, architects and makers to make new works with the public at the centre of how their ideas unfold, whether resulting in permanent sculptures or temporary artworks, socially-engaged projects or integrated architectural designs.

We are an award-winning studio; most recently ‘The Betty Campbell Monument’ which we curated and commissioned in partnership Monumental Welsh Women Group, won the public vote at the prestigious Public Statues and Sculpture Association Marsh Awards 2022 for Excellence in Public Sculpture. Our major arts, health and wellbeing programme at the Grange University Hospital was Highly Commended in the Patient’s Choice Award at the Building Better Healthcare Awards 2022.
