Areas of expertise:

I’m a film-maker and researcher, based in Barry.

Over the past five years, I have delivered and run over twenty participatory and educational film projects. Amongst other organisations, I have worked with Chapter, Disability Arts Cymru, Dimensions, Credu & Vale of Glamorgan Council. I recently made a training video for the UK Cinema Association, highlighting the importance of autism friendly cinema screenings and the main adjustments required for putting on these screenings.

My area of research interest is film & autism. I am currently undertaking a PhD at Cardiff Metropolitan University, exploring the potential for film-making to improve the social communication skills of children on the autism spectrum. I have also undertaken research projects for Ffilm Cymru Wales (looking at the current provision in Wales for film education for people with learning disabilities) and Film Hub Wales (exploring the range of autism friendly / supportive environment screenings in Wales).

I am a very keen collaborator, always looking for interesting opportunities.
